Marvel has previously come under fire for its failure to make female-led films. Last week, it was criticised for the conspicuous lack of Black Widow merchandise.
Even Mark Ruffalo called them out on it.
Last night, Scarlett Johansson hosted Saturday Night Live and, over the course of the show, poked fun at Marvel’s relationship with women by starring in a sketch that imagined a romantic comedy starring Black Widow.
And it was hilarious.
